How American Steamers started
American Steamers opened on May 2, 2006 in Plantation, Florida, as a family owned carpet cleaning company. The idea was simple. Carpet cleaning had a reputation for cheap coupon prices that doubled once the truck arrived, and we wanted to be the company that gave people the real price first.
Over the years the work grew from carpet into upholstery, tile and grout, drapes, mattresses and area rugs. We opened our own rug washing plant in Plantation so hand-knotted and delicate rugs could be washed properly instead of scrubbed on a customer's floor.
In 2026 we added a location serving the Treasure Coast, which gave us a close look at what it takes to bring the same service, standards and systems to a new market.
The rules we won't bend
One honest price
The customer hears the price before the work starts, and it doesn't change when the job is done.
Say what cleaning can't fix
Sun damage, worn fibers and old set-in stains don't always come out. We say so up front, even when it costs us the job.
Check before we clean
We identify the fiber and test the dyes before anything gets wet, because the wrong method can ruin a sofa or a rug.
A message from the owner
